Cheshire Business Awards 2015

02.10.15

We’re delighted to announce our success at the Cheshire Business Awards.  Barlows won the FindIt in Cheshire and Warrington Apprenticeships Award and our Director of Training and Development Dave Barlow scooped the SAS Daniels LLP sponsored award for Business Person of the Year!

David Barlow called the night of celebration at the Trinity Mirror Cheshire Business Awards 2015 “exceptional”.  “The arrangements were the best we have known” he said, “congratulations must go to Andy Phelan, Business Development Director at Trinity Mirror Cheshire and North Wales and his team, the superb Lucy Meacock for her continued support of the event, and Jeremy Orrell and Kaye Whitby, plus their team at SAS Daniels.  All have shown long term dedication to the event, and the setting in the beautiful Chester Cathedral is unrivalled”.

Barlows UK Ltd would like to thank the other sponsors, as without such help, hosting the awards may not have been possible, and the judges who gave their time assessing the categories.  David Barlow said that he commented at the beginning of the evening on the massive amount of work that had taken place in order for the celebrations to be realised.  Barlows UK Ltd would like to thank all at Find It in Cheshire and Warrington, for the Investing in the Future Apprenticeships Award.  All at Barlows are proud of the Award, and Managing Director John Barlow acknowledged the effort the whole company commits to developing young people.  “Apprentices are fundamental to our company’s growth and future skills” he commented.

David Barlow spoke of his pride at his Business Person of the Year Award, sponsored and presented to him by Jeremy and Kaye of SAS Daniels LLP.  His work on government bodies to ensure the changes to keep apprentices fit for modern day industry and commerce to maintain standards, were cited by the judges.
