On Friday, the Managers and Directors got together at the Cock O’ Barton in Cheshire to present Andrew Armstrong, Barlows’ apprentice of the year for 2018 with his award! The night gave our managers and Andrew a chance to celebrate the hard work he has put in to both his college work and his day to day work with our Fire Alarm & Security section.
Andrew said “it feels very rewarding to be recognised for the work I have done for Barlows, it just shows that the managers and fellow employees recognise the good work that I am doing. My apprenticeship has helped me obviously in work with the knowledge of different aspects of the job, but also in my life outside of work as in interacting with customers and being able to put myself across to people in a respectful way. In the future, I plan to keep doing what I am doing because I am obviously doing something right to be recognised for the award and hopefully I will keep progressing in Barlows.”
Matthew Scott, Contracts Manager quoted “Andrew works extremely hard and is far beyond his years, he goes above and beyond and thinks outside the box. He works well with all of the other members of staff and is a pleasure to have him work for us.”
Director Mark Holden said “We are extremely proud of the hard work Andrew has put in with his college work and are proud to be able to give him this award. With this being the first of many, we hope to continue this prestigious award for many years to come.”
