Next weekend Wrexham is hosting what is set to be one of the biggest gigs in the area for decades as the Stereophonics headline the landmark concert at Glyndwr University. 2016 Brit Award winners Catfish and the Bottlemen are also set to support. Up to 20,000 people are expected to attend and a gig of this proportion needs some cutting edge security requirements.
We are upgrading the stadiums current installation to a High Definition IP CCTV system at the Glyndwr Racecourse Stadium in preparation for the event. An event of this size needs a carefully thought out security system and it will also prove invaluable in helping to protect fans during future events including football and rugby matches.
The system is fully controllable and includes 3 PTZ cameras which are controlled by a joystick from the stadium control room. This system can view all areas of the stadium for the complete protection of staff and fans. The CCTV system is capable of giving full facial recognition and number plate identification if required.
This is another fantastic contract for our Fire and Security department who have already won security contracts with other high profile clients including a premier league football club!
