Our Manchester apprentices had the privilege of a visit from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue and their amazing driving simulator.
GMFRS gave up their time to come and talk to our apprentices about safe driving. The time involved classroom based discussion and driver awareness issues. The apprentices were then given the opportunity to demonstrate their driving skills in the GMFRS driving simulator.
Following the positive response from our apprentices on our day visit from GMFRS, we were invited to the Middleton Arena for a Safe Drive Stay Alive evening.
The evening was an emotionally engaging road safety performance based around a series of true story short films and presentations. The apprentices got to hear stories from all of the emergency services as well victims and family members.
“The evening was emotionally hard hitting and brought it home to us all. the emergency services do a fantastic job that we actually take for granted. I admire the courage of the family members who got on stage and shared their personal stories with us. Safe Drive Stay Alive.”
