About Our College
We set up Clifford College as our training provider in 2009, the college was commissioned with the task of training apprentices to become our quality engineers. Throughout this time many young entrants, from all backgrounds, have been nurtured and developed to gain skills, knowledges, good behaviours and values, achieve their apprenticeship and offered permanent employment here at Barlows enabling us to expand our workforce with competent quality engineers.
Over the past 13 years, we have grown our College and now have three sites in:
- Malpas, Cheshire
- Oldham, Manchester
- High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire
The Apprenticeship
Our Apprentice Electricians learn to be able to work both independently and collaboratively, use their knowledge and skills to ensure that systems have been properly chosen, installed, and maintained in accordance with professional industry standards, frequently without supervision, and have been done so in a way that is safe, effective, and economical to minimize waste. While also attending classes at Clifford College, all of our apprentices will work side by side with our electricians to get invaluable on-site experience.
