Barlows (UK) Ltd have recently finished another exciting new build project with Short Construction.
Located on Burton Road in Manchester, the 12 houses have replaced The Old House at Home Pub. Acquired by developers Britannia Group in 2018 with the plan of knocking down the derelict south Manchester pub to make way for new homes. The project had originally planned for 13 houses but was redesigned to 12 houses with a central pair of semi-detached house to protect existing trees.
Designed by OMI Architects, the site includes spacious three storey family homes with off street parking and landscaped gardens to the rear.
Working for Short Construction, our project began in January 2020 and included:
- Electrical Installation
- Fire and Security Alarm Systems
- Aerial/TV Installation
- Data Install
Lead by Barlows Engineer Matt Morris, his team has worked tirelessly for the last 12 months to ensure the project finished on time and looked amazing!
‘Like any project, Burton Road has had its challenges and with the ongoing pandemic, we faced a new challenge. Overcoming the disruption and confusion caused by the pandemic has definitely been an experience but I am proud that this project has been able to continue to develop and progress. We hope everyone will agree how fantastic these new builds look and I am looking forward to the next project.’ – Paul Rowlands | Contracts Manager.
