Powering the Future
Our team recently completed a major electrical infrastructure upgrade at Wrexham AFC’s new club shop in Eagles Meadow, setting the stage for a modern, future-ready retail space. The project began with the removal of the existing staged lighting panel, making way for a brand new 400amp panel board and dedicated distribution boards to power not only the new shop but also future development phases.
In addition to these upgrades, we carried out extensive electrical installations across all areas of the new facility – from the shop floor and offices to the toilets, BOH spaces, stock areas, and new AV systems. This robust infrastructure forms the backbone of the new shop’s operations.
Lighting the Way
Lighting played a key role in transforming the club shop into a vibrant and energy-efficient retail space. We completed a full LED lighting upgrade using premium fittings supplied by Collingwood Lighting. To enhance the aesthetic experience for fans and visitors, we also installed new RGB remote-controlled feature lighting throughout, adding dynamic, programmable colour effects that align with the club’s identity.
Alongside these enhancements, we ensured compliance and safety by installing emergency lighting across all relevant areas – ensuring staff and visitors can safely navigate the space in any situation.
Safety, Security & Smart Access
Led from start to finish by Jay Harmer, the project also delivered major upgrades in safety and security. A new Paxton access control system was installed and fully integrated with Wrexham AFC’s existing stadium infrastructure, allowing for seamless access management. We also completed a new CCTV installation, enhancing the overall security of the site.
Additional works included alterations to the existing fire and intruder alarm systems, a complete firefighting equipment install, and comprehensive testing and commissioning of all systems before handover.
